REAL School Gardens is a grass roots gardening program that helps children by supporting elementary school communities as they design, install and sustain outdoor classrooms (gardens). The program currently supports 36 schools, 830 teachers and more than 17,000 students around Fort Worth, Texas and an additional 50 school gardens through its partners. The goals of REAL School Gardens are to use nature to enhance student learning, create outdoor spaces to engage young children, encourage family and community involvement in schools, and support a vibrant network committed to putting school gardens at the center of the community. |

The University of Florida Environmental Horticulture Department sponsors the Florida School Garden Competition, designed to encourage the use of school gardens in elementary schools throughout Florida. The competition invites Florida elementary schools to highlight their garden programs. This program allows teachers the opportunity to gain recognition for their school garden as well as win monetary funds and tools to help support their garden. |

American Horticultural Society
The AHS's mission is to open the eyes of all Americans to the vital connection between people and plants, to inspire all Americans to become responsible caretakers of the Earth, to celebrate America's diversity through the art and science of horticulture and to lead this effort by sharing the Society's unique national resources with all Americans.

Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden
The mission of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is to save tropical plant diversity by exploring, explaining and conserving the world of tropical plants; fundamental to this task is inspiring a greater knowledge and love for plants and gardening so that all can enjoy the beauty and bounty of the tropical world.
The Fairchild Challenge gives students opportunities to experience nature, experiment with ideas and express opinions.

World Craniofacial Foundation
The World Craniofacial Foundation is dedicated to helping children who experience craniofacial abnormalities and their families by providing support and access to life-changing procedures. "Reconstruct a face; create a life." Today, we have the knowledge and technology to make these children look and feel normal.
